You can find this at Lowes or Home Depot - ask an associate to help you find the right primer. Then once it is primed you will need to paint the bookshelf with a painted designed to go with the melamine primer. If your bookshelf has a removeable shelf bring it along to the paint store - that way there the associate can be 100% certain that you will get the correct product. Nothing is worse than working so hard to paint something and then have it peel off in a matter of days. Hope this Helps!
